Dr. Timothy Noonan
Dr. Timothy Noonan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Noonan specializes in Sports Medicine with an emphasis in minimally invasive treatment of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Noonan is currently the team physician for Morton Ranch High School and Seven Lakes High School. He has served as team physician for Tompkins High School, Spring Woods High School and the Katy Ruff Riders.
Dr. Noonan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. He attended medical school at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. Following internship and residency at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine, Dr. Noonan went on to complete a combined Sports Medicine and Foot and Ankle Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, and Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston Texas. He received additional training in Ankle Arthroplasty at Fredricksburg University in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Chondrocyte Transplantation at Gothenburg Medical Center in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Dr. Noonan is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Dr. Noonan treats each patient individually to maximize return to optimum function. Dr. Noonan takes time to listen to and examine the patient, describe the necessary imaging studies, discuss the diagnosis, and develop a treatment plan as a doctor-patient team. He strives to treat orthopedic conditions in a conservative manner until surgery is necessary. He uses state of the art procedures and rehabilitation to maximize return to an active lifestyle.
